Welcome to the BIG IDEA! This Blog will have stem and leaves (Post & Comments) centering around the BIG IDEAS of the former 2012 committee! It is our hope to create "DREAM TEAMS" of the 5 or so BIG IDEAS that we feel we should be working on this year at MC. PLEASE post ideas, videos, links, photos etc. Try to check in every Friday or so for updates. We may modify and moderate this blog and web-assist as needed, but for now...this is the place!

WARM FUZZIES

To stay motivated and inspired we have posted the Did You Know , Johnny the Bagger and Starfish stories... what "warm fuzzies" (viral videos, list-serves, etc.) are you aware of that you would like to pass on?

GLOBALIZATION

ESL, INTERNATIONAL, EXCHANGE, CE and ALL are all areas that we are branching into already. New technologies are assisting in this process. What can we do to keep up or even lead?

TECHNOLOGY

What current and emerging technologies can be utilized and embraced by our faculty and staff to assist our students?

RETENTION & RELEVANCE

These two themes were viewed as pivotal in our visioning process. Please offer your thoughts and suggestions on these issues seperately or concurrently.

GREEN CAMPUS

There are MANY things WE can do to make MC a greener place for me and you! Environmental education and stewardship should be folded into classes and the college in general as part of "globalization"
